A self-serve canvassing tool volunteers opened by scanning a QR code from the campaign's social ads — then claimed their own turf and walked a live precinct list from any phone. No app to download.
The campaign
Most volunteer canvassing dies on logistics. Someone has to cut turf, print packets, hand them out, collect them back, and re-key the results. A parcel-tax campaign run by neighbors rarely has the staff for it — so the doors don't get knocked.
For Measure H, VoterForce replaced all of that with a single self-serve tool. Volunteers scanned a QR code — promoted through the campaign's Facebook and Instagram ads — and one tap opened the walk tool on their phone. No app to download, no login, no coordinator. They picked an address, pulled a live walk list straight from the precinct targeting layer, and logged each door as they went.
The result: every one of Lafayette's ~10,000 doors on a single live, shareable list — walked by neighbors, with responses flowing back in real time and not a single printed packet. The campaign turned out 63% of voters and won every precinct.
How it worked
There was no phone bank of coordinators cutting turf. Volunteers opened the app themselves — from a QR code the campaign pushed through its social ads — and everything they needed to knock ran off the same precinct targeting layer.
Volunteers chose any Lafayette address, pulled a live walk list straight from the precinct layer, and logged each door as they went — Voted, Yes, No, Not home. No coordinator, no printed packets, and every response flowed back to the campaign in real time.

The campaign promoted a QR code through its Facebook and Instagram ads. One scan opened the walk tool on a volunteer's phone — no app to download, no login, no coordinator handing out assignments. The same targeting layer behind the ads powered the walk list they got.

Neighbors self-organized off one shared precinct universe, reached from a QR code in the campaign's own ads — no app, no printed packets. 63% of Lafayette voters turned out — and Measure H carried every single precinct on its way to a 75% win.
